Terms of Service

  • Application and Interpretation

    1. Eligibility for enrollment to and enjoyment of any rights, benefits and privileges under the Programme (“Privileges”) are subject to these General Terms and Conditions. The Programme and all Privileges shall also be subject to terms and conditions as provided in an invitation letter and terms and conditions of use as separately and specifically provided in relation to the Privileges; and such other rules, bye-laws and policies or conditions of use pertaining to the exercise and enjoyment of the Privileges (including without limitation, rules governing booking or otherwise on use of services or facilities) (“Privilege Terms and Conditions”). The Privilege Terms and Conditions and these General Terms and Conditions shall hereinafter be collectively referred to as “these Terms and Conditions”. In case of any conflict, discrepancies or inconsistency, these General Terms and Conditions shall apply.

  • Eligibility

    1. The Programme is a privileged programme and shall be available by invitation and to specific customers selected, at the sole discretion of The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the “Club”) (“Selected Customers”).Participation in the Programme is subject strictly to acceptance by Selected Customers of these Terms and Conditions. Actions taken in use or enjoyment of any of the Privileges shall be deemed to be acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Use and enjoyment of the Privileges by Selected Customers shall be conditional upon the following at all times during the period of entitlement:

      2.1 Be at least 18 years old;
      2.2 Maintain a valid and non-defaulting betting account with the Club;
      2.3 Comply with the terms and conditions provided in the invitation letter for participating in the Programme;
      2.4 Keep abreast of all updates to and abide by, and be subject to these Terms and Conditions;
      2.5 Not be in breach of or be the subject of any investigations in matters relating to the Programme or as a member of the Club, or these Terms and Conditions; and
      2.6 Comply with such other terms and conditions as may from time to time be imposed by the Club in relation to the Programme.

      The Programme is personal to the Selected Customer and may not be assigned or transferred. The Club reserves at its sole and absolute discretion the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or vary, suspend or withdraw at any time any or all of the Privileges or any entitlement, use or enjoyment of or by any of the Selected Customers, without notice or any obligation to provide any reason.

      The Hong Kong Jockey Club reserves the right to terminate the Priority Card and its benefits of specific customers, without notice or without any explanation.

  • Identification

    1. Each Selected Customer will be provided with a special identification as an affirmation of entitlement to participate in the Programme for the relevant period. Details of such identification must be provided and presented when exercising use of, or for enjoyment of the Privileges.

      Such identification, if in the form of a card, is the property of the Club and shall be returned to the Club upon request, on cancellation, termination of or (if applicable) on a change in the status of any tiers which may apply.

      Any such identification card, if provided, is void if damaged or defaced. A report must be filed with the Club if such identification card is lost, defaced or damaged. An administrative fee at the prevailing rates may be payable for a replacement.

  • Termination

    1. Participation in the Programme shall cease at the expiry of such period as may be specified in the invitation letter. The Club has no obligation to extend the period of participation of any Selected Customer after the expiry and may terminate the right of a Selected Customer to participate in the Programme, at any time by written notice without reason.

      On termination, entitlement to all Privileges shall cease to apply and the identification card, if provided, must be returned to the Club. All accrued and outstanding Privileges shall be cancelled and are deemed to have been waived and forfeited.

  • Miscellaneous

    1. No representation, warranty or condition, expressed or implied, as to the fitness or suitability of the goods and / or services for any particular purposes or use, or the merchantability, are made and all liabilities are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. All claims which are not made within 30 days shall be deemed to have been waived or forfeited. Any liability shall not include indirect, consequential loss or damages of any kind or nature whatsoever, and shall be limited to the value of the service.

      In case of a dispute arising out of or in connection with the Programme or any of these Terms and Conditions, including without limitation, entitlement, use or exercise of any of the Privileges, the decision of the Club will be final and conclusive. These Terms and Conditions are subject to the laws and courts of the Hong Kong SAR. The Privilege Terms and Conditions are written in English and translated into Chinese for reference only. In case of any conflict, discrepancies, or inconsistency between the English and the Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
